As a physician, researcher, and educator, I’ve strived to center the reproductive priorities of patients, consider their circumstances, and help process existential experiences of uncertainty, trauma, loss, joy, and sovereignty. I have worked tirelessly in the national community to ensure reproductive health and justice are fully integrated into primary health care and professional training. It has never been truer that “in every crisis lies an opportunity.” Patients and providers face unprecedented stress levels with the fall of Roe, equity movements long overdue, and pandemic transitions to digital lives, making this a critical time to support both patients and providers.
Groups are such powerful support environments, especially when paired with empathogens, and opportunities to discuss meaningful life work, stigma, resilience, and personal transition. Caregiver share groups have also been known to foster connection and resilience, while lowering burnout and compassion fatigue among medical and reproductive health providers. (Mosley 2020, Debbink 2016, Harris 2011)
The values centered in my work include:
Collaborative by nature; cultivating design for belonging
Patient-centered and trauma informed
Evidence-based
Ethically driven
Equity and reciprocity minded
I am now available and humbly interested in offering medicine retreat co-facilitation, including any of the following:
Mind-body medicine groups build skills and use breath work to help restore balance in your systems, to a place of embodied presence
Psychedelic-assisted therapy preparation, retreats and integration meant to explore one’s inner world in the company of others in a safe and legal setting
Medicine retreats for women and those with pregnancy-potential processing experiences of uncertainty, loss, trauma, joy, and sovereignty
Reproductive health caregiver medicine retreats meant to actively explore work complexity, stigma, pride, and community
Transformative wilderness trips with abundant space to explore personal transitions, embodiment, and renewal
Embodied leadership retreats: Collectively we are courageous leaders, innovators, connectors, embodiment alchemists, and embracers of feelings as an important doorway for healing self and community. This approach goes beyond cognitive understanding to tap deep wells for cultivating leadership.
